Tell your check-in circle about a new number
Tell chosen people the number you want them to use and the effective date. Confirm an unexpected number change through an established contact route.
A message for an established conversation
“From [date], please use [new number in international format] to reach me. [Old number] will [remain available or stop working]. We should test our DailyCheck connection on my current phone.” Do not publish this message to a public group.
Verify before changing the setup
- The message came through a route you already trust.
- The person confirmed the new number directly.
- You know whether their Apple Account also changed.
- You reviewed the actual invitation address.
- You tested a fresh check-in after any replacement.
Avoid account assumptions
Changing a contact number and changing private-share access are separate actions. Do not forward passwords or verification codes to help with the transition. Use the app’s access controls if a connection needs replacement.
