Ask before starting a family check-in routine
Use these questions before sending a DailyCheck invitation. Agreement should cover the routine, the recipients, and the ability to change or stop it.
Questions for the person checking in
“Would you want to send an update?” “Who would you want to see it?” “Would a reminder help or feel intrusive?” “What would you prefer to keep for a direct conversation?” Listen before suggesting settings.
Questions for the recipient
“Would you want to receive this?” “What reply expectation would suit you?” “Do you understand that a quiet day does not trigger an alarm?” A willing sender and willing recipient are separate prerequisites.
Record the actual choice
Use the check-in agreement only after both people choose the routine. An invitation you sent, an unaccepted link, or someone installing the app does not replace that conversation. Either person can say no or propose a smaller arrangement.
