Review privacy when another person uses your iPhone

Private sharing does not hide an open app from someone using your unlocked phone. Review device access alongside DailyCheck’s recipient list.

Check the visible surfaces

  • Whether someone else knows the phone’s passcode.
  • Whether an unlocked DailyCheck screen shows private records.
  • What notification previews show before unlocking.
  • Whether exports sit in a shared Files folder.
  • Whether screenshots or photos contain an update you meant to keep private.

Agree on a practical boundary

“Please ask before opening my check-ins or exports. I will show you the update I want to share.” Use a boundary you can actually maintain on that phone.

Review recipients independently

A phone-use agreement does not change private-share access. Keep the app’s chosen people and the device’s users as separate lists. Use the device owner’s own Apple Account, rather than sharing credentials to support a check-in routine.

Share a small update with your chosen people

A private update on your iPhone, shared only with your chosen people.
