Hide DailyCheck notification previews
Use iPhone’s notification preview controls when you want less information visible before unlocking. This changes presentation on your phone, not who receives shared check-ins.
Think about the person holding the phone
Someone beside you may be able to read a notification preview. A private connection controls its recipients, while a locked screen controls how much a nearby person can see.
Review the preview setting
- Open iPhone Settings and choose Notifications.
- Select DailyCheck and review Show Previews where available.
- Choose When Unlocked or Never if that matches your preference.
- Review whether alerts should appear on the Lock Screen.
- Lock the phone and test a new ordinary update without putting private details into the test.
Review more than one surface
A notification preview setting does not hide an open DailyCheck screen, an exported file, or a screenshot. Keep the phone’s lock and the recipient list aligned with the information you want to share.
