Walk through DailyCheck setup on a call
Use this call script when you are helping someone connect from another place. Let each person operate their own iPhone and enter their own account details.
Open with the purpose
“Would a short update between us be useful? You choose what to send. I cannot see your location or other apps. We can stop whenever we want.” Wait for an answer before opening setup.
Read one prompt at a time
- “Can you open DailyCheck? Tell me the heading you see.”
- “We each need our own iCloud account. Enter any password privately.”
- “I will send the app’s invitation in Messages. Open that invitation on your iPhone.”
- “After you accept, let’s open DailyCheck on both phones.”
- “Send a fresh test update. I will read back its date and the words I received.”
If your screens differ
Ask for the exact visible heading rather than telling them to tap a remembered position. Pause when an unfamiliar account or permission prompt appears. Explain its purpose before the phone owner chooses.
Close with one ordinary agreement
“What time suits your routine? Which contact route should we use if we want a reply?” Keep setup complete and expectations separate. Sending the invitation alone does not prove the connection works.
