Plan a comfortable DailyCheck setup session
Ask what makes reading and tapping comfortable before helping with setup. Let the phone owner choose settings and perform account entry privately.
Ask before starting
- Whether larger text or a clearer display would help.
- Whether reading one instruction aloud at a time is useful.
- Whether the person wants a pause between steps.
- Whether the phone is positioned comfortably.
- Whether another contact route should stay available during setup.
Keep the session controlled by the owner
- Explain the purpose and wait for agreement.
- Adjust a chosen iPhone preference only with the owner’s agreement.
- Ask them to describe the current screen.
- Complete one setup action and confirm its result.
- Test a fresh shared record before ending.
When a control is difficult
Stop and identify the actual screen, text size, and action. Do not assume a source review proves that every accessibility configuration works. Report a concrete problem so it can be reproduced on the relevant device.
