Explain a period with unreliable internet
Tell your people which ordinary contact route is available when internet access is unreliable. Avoid promising that app updates will arrive on time.
A message before the gap
“I may have limited internet from [date] to [date]. DailyCheck updates may be delayed or absent. Use [available contact route] if you want to reach me. I will tell you when my usual connection returns.” Only name a route you can actually use.
Set practical expectations
- Which dates may have limited access.
- Whether an ordinary phone call or text is available.
- Whether you want to pause your own reminder.
- Which time zone you will use if your location changes.
- How you will confirm the routine has resumed.
Confirm recovery with a fresh record
When the connection returns, compare one new check-in on both phones. Do not describe an older received record as a live status. The app cannot infer why a day has no record or supply emergency escalation during a network gap.
