Check iPhone time settings when dates look wrong

Compare your iPhone’s date and time settings with the sender’s stated time zone. Different local dates can explain an update near midnight.

Start with the same record

Ask the sender which check-in they are describing. Compare its displayed date, time, and note. An older record is a delivery question, while different local clock conventions can explain a display question.

Review the phone’s clock

  1. Open iPhone Settings and choose General.
  2. Open Date & Time.
  3. Review Set Automatically and the displayed time zone.
  4. If you intentionally use a manual time zone, verify that it matches your intended location.
  5. Return to the record and compare again without changing its actual content.

Keep location choices separate

DailyCheck does not need location tracking to share chosen updates. iPhone’s own automatic time-zone behavior has separate system settings. For a planned call, state the date and city rather than assuming a permanent hour difference.
