Choose the right person from duplicate contacts
Compare the phone numbers on duplicate contact cards before selecting a DailyCheck recipient. A repeated name does not establish that both cards reach the same person.
Compare before merging
Open each contact card and inspect its phone numbers and labels. Confirm which details are current. Two relatives can share a name, so a matching name alone is insufficient reason to merge their cards.
Select the intended contact
- Find the current card in iPhone Contacts.
- Use Apple’s duplicate-contact controls only when the cards really belong to the same person.
- Return to DailyCheck and choose the intended contact.
- Review the Messages address before sending the invitation.
- Confirm that the recipient, rather than someone with a similar name, receives the message.
Existing connections need their own review
Merging contact cards is a phone address-book action. It does not prove that DailyCheck’s stored recipient or private access changed. Review the app’s people list separately if you previously selected the wrong card.
