Handle a DailyCheck invitation sent to the wrong person

Review the mistaken person’s private access in DailyCheck and stop it before sending a corrected invitation. Deleting a Messages conversation does not confirm revocation.

Stop adding information to that connection

Check the actual addressee and the person listed in DailyCheck. If the invitation was misaddressed, avoid sending another personal update while you review access.

Correct access before retrying

  1. Open the mistaken person’s entry in DailyCheck.
  2. Use the app’s stop-access control and read the confirmation.
  3. If revocation fails, resolve that error before treating access as gone.
  4. Remove the old entry when the app allows it.
  5. Add the intended person and review their Messages address before sending a fresh invitation.

Understand what can remain

Revocation cannot retract information someone already read, copied, or captured. If you need to explain the mistaken invitation, use a direct message. Do not rely on unsending a message as the access-control step.
