Let them hear your voice
An optional voice note adds your voice to a check-in. You can share a short update without typing a message.
A personal update
A voice note works well for a quick hello or a small story. Record only what you want your chosen people to hear. Keep other people’s conversations out of the recording.
Microphone access is your choice
The recording function needs microphone permission. You can decline it and continue sending a plain check-in. Change the permission later in iPhone Settings.
An update, not a call
Recipients listen when they open the shared record. A voice note does not open a live conversation. Use an ordinary phone or FaceTime call when you need to talk now.
