Setup & troubleshooting
Restart an iPhone during a DailyCheck problem
Use a normal iPhone restart when reopening DailyCheck has not cleared an unresponsive screen. Recheck the original symptom after the phone starts.
Save a useful description first
Record the last action and any visible error. If the phone still responds, finish or cancel an attachment recording before restarting. A restart does not prove that a check-in reached another phone.
Use a normal shutdown and startup
- Open iPhone Settings, then General, then Shut Down.
- Slide to power off and let the phone shut down.
- Use the power button to turn the phone back on, then unlock it.
- Open DailyCheck and inspect its latest record or invitation status.
- Repeat one controlled test of the original symptom.
If the whole phone is frozen
Follow Apple’s model-specific restart guidance. Do not erase the phone or reset every setting as a substitute for a restart. Persistent device problems belong with Apple support, while an isolated app problem needs an app-specific report.
