Setup & troubleshooting
What iCloud does DailyCheck need?
Each person needs their own iCloud account. DailyCheck uses private Apple CloudKit sharing to move selected records between those accounts.
Check the prerequisites
- On each iPhone, open Settings and confirm the owner is signed in to their own Apple Account.
- Check that iCloud is available on that account and the phone has internet access.
- Install DailyCheck on both phones.
- Accept the sender’s private invitation using the recipient’s account.
- Test a real check-in between the two phones.
Keep accounts separate
The people connected through DailyCheck do not need one shared Apple Account. Sharing a password gives access far beyond a check-in.
Check the result, not just the setting
Being signed in establishes a prerequisite. Only a received record proves that this connection delivered that check-in.
