Review camera access for a check-in photo

Allow DailyCheck camera access only if you want to take a photo from its camera control. Camera access and selecting an existing photo are separate functions.

Test the camera permission

  1. Open Settings and choose Privacy & Security.
  2. Select Camera and review DailyCheck if listed.
  3. Allow access if you want that function.
  4. Return to the app’s camera control and take a nonprivate test picture.
  5. Review the picture before attaching it to a check-in.

When the permission control is missing

Use the camera action once to request access. If a managed phone restricts changes, ask its administrator. An error in the attachment picker can have a different cause from a camera permission denial.

Keep the choice optional

You can send a check-in without a photo. Taking a picture does not prove it was attached, shared, or received. Check the final record and the recipient’s view when testing the whole path.
