Reconnect after stopping someone’s access
Treat reconnection as a fresh invitation and acceptance. A previous relationship or old invitation does not prove that access is active again.
Confirm both people want to reconnect
Ask whether the recipient still wants the updates. Check that their current iPhone has DailyCheck and that they use their own iCloud account.
Create and test the new connection
- Review the old person entry and confirm that the previous access was stopped.
- Remove or replace the old entry using the controls in your installed app.
- Add the intended recipient using their current details.
- Send the private invitation and ask them to accept it on their own phone.
- Send a new test check-in and confirm its contents together.
Old history is a separate question
Do not promise that a new share recreates every previous record. Check the history actually visible after reconnection. If the app reports an access error, preserve that wording rather than repeatedly sending the same old invitation.
